A Grassy Resting Place
This photograph is part of my Fallen Angels series of driftwood photos that I began in 2022. I wonder where this old piece of tree has come from, how far it has travelled, what it has experienced on the way? It has finally come to rest, nestled in the grass by the Waikanae River, where eventually it will subside and be absorbed back into the earth.
