Photography
Light is what makes a photo interesting to me – creating interesting shadows, high contrast, mood and ambiguity. I studied photography as one of my majors in my fine arts degree in Sydney in the 1980s. I favoured high contrast, moody black and white images with dramatic lighting.
Photography is still a big part of my life, and with the beach across the road, my collection of driftwood and beach photos continues to grow. Mainly I take photos to inspire my paintings, but sometimes I capture an image that I think is worthy of being shared as it is. Here are a few favourites.
