Doctors and Nurses
This painting is from a group show called Unleashed which was held at Toi Poneke Gallery, Wellington in 2006. The series of six paintings explored children’s role play games and other games like hopscotch and hide and seek. They are from memories of my childhood growing up in Kelburn, Wellington in the 1950s-60s, when there was no tv or devices and children had to rely on their imagination.
